A leading automotive manufacturing firm specializing in seat frames and high-voltage busbars in battery systems is seeking a highly qualified Procurement Specialist to join their team in Savannah, Georgia. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our projects by collaborating with customers, internal teams, and vendors. Your responsibilities will include responding to customers, managing suppliers, overseeing projects, managing product and part development, negotiating sales/purchase costs, and conducting business analysis. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, improving profit, driving stable projects, and leading continuous improvement initiatives will be key aspects of your role

Job Responsibilities:

1. Identify customer requirements and manage customer relationships in automotive manufacturing (OEM and Tier 1)

2. Conduct thorough management of customers to ensure quality standards and regulatory requirements are met.

3. Develop, implement, and maintain robust procurement control processes for incoming materials, components, and change management.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements and evaluate supplier capabilities and performance.

5. Generate profit through creative ideas, mathematical calculations, and improvement activities.

6. Analyze and distribute engineering data and drawings.

7. Negotiate costs with customers and supplier agreements.

8. Understand the economic situation, calculate costs, and discuss them with customers.

9. Evaluate raw materials to ensure all products meet required specifications.

10. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through effective communication and collaboration.

11. Work closely with cross-functional teams to address customer issues and implement corrective actions.

Essential Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Mechanical Engineering, Design, Development Management, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.

2. Entry-level or proven experience in development and project management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

3. Strong knowledge of procurement processes and methodologies.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

6. Familiarity with mathematical calculations.

7. Problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

8. Proficient in MS Office.

9. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

10. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience in automotive manufacturing (especially seat frame or high-voltage busbar)

   1. OEM : Hyundai Motors, KIA, GM, Ford, etc/ Tier 1 : Hyundai Transys, Hyundai Mobis, Adient, Lear, etc

2. Familiarity with Product Life Cycle Management.

3. Familiarity with Bill of materials.

4. Familiarity with SAP systems.

5. Proficiency in both English and Korean.

Salary and Benefits:

1. Entry-level: $55,000 - $60,000 USD per year

2. Experienced: $70,000 - $75,000 USD per year

3. Benefits: Medical insurance, 401K
