  1. Chemical Production Engineer (Team Leader) 

 

Job description:

He/She is responsible for design and execution of pre-formulation, formulation development, process development, process optimization and scale-up test,

includes chemical analysis and inspection, for 3D printable materials. He/She provides instructions to his/her colleagues to proceed with the project.

As a Production Team Leader, he/she is in charge of the production and product realization of medical devices from pilot plant to large scale,

which includes purchase control, manufacturing control and packaging.  He/She provides instructions to his/her colleagues to process productions of our products.

He/she also assists Director of Material Department in the establishment of manufacturing process, quality management system, safety management system

and other system related to environment, health and safety (EHS), ISO and cGMP. He/She cooperates with Digital Production Dept. members

as well as his/her Dept. members to improve the production and quality of materials and dentures.  He/She will have a R&D projects assigned by Principal Scientist,

especially on 3D printable dental material development, 3D printed denture process development, and product realization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the transfer of technology from laboratory to production line.
  • Manages contractor manufacturer(s) and its production line, and other raw material suppliers to meet company quality system.
  • Timely establishes mass production lines and produces final products on commercial scales.
  • Leads packaging process for final products.
  • Records production work results timely and properly.
  • Validate and verify the production related equipments and resources and generate the reports.
  • Develops the industrial process for 3D printable material and 3D printed dental products.
  • Reports test results and project progresses in a clear and concise manner to his/her supervisor.
  • Designs, executes and implements projects focused on photopolymers, their formulations and 3D printed dental products including laboratory and pilot size.
  • Tests and produces lab batches of new formulations for a variety of testing and evaluates the chemical and physical properties.
  • Plans and interacts with laboratory personnel and cross-functional groups engaged in development projects.
  • Provides weekly and monthly reports to his/her supervisor.
  • Assists his/her supervisor in the establishment of quality management system, such as ISO and QSR and follows the quality management systems to develop and manufacture the medical devices.
  • Creates SOPs for 3D printable materials production and its related procedures.
  • Assists his/her supervisor in the establishment of the system related to OSHA and other EHS.
  • Clearly provides the instructions to his/her colleague to execute the projects and productions.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master degree or Ph. D. degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related field.
  • 1-3 years working experience in the industry related to material manufacturing.
  • Familiar with a photopolymers, their formulation and 3D printing or printer preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of design of experiments, polymer characterization techniques, scale-up test, and production.
  • Knowledge on the cGMP and dental materials
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be flexible, forward-thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act independently.
  • Knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Intellectual property of materials experience.

  1. Research Scientist

Job Description: 
Under limited supervision, the associate engineer/scientist is a responsible for the various technical support and will work with quality inspector and senior research scientist.

He/she report to Senior Researcher or Director of Material Department. He/she plan, prepare, conduct complex bench test or the experiments in accordance with

the assigned short projects and generate the reports. He/She also involve with the development and evaluation of 3D printable resin for dental use.

He/she will participate in the quality inspection and the maintenance and calibration of test equipment and analysis tools. 

He/she also collaborates with his/her team members and other department to perform his/her tasks. He/she have a basic knowledge of photocurable resin and

be familiar with a laboratory setting and chemicals.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Technical support on the 3D printing related issues and the marketed products
  • Plan, conducts and generate the reports on the assigned short projects which is related the existing products and the developed materials.
  • Produces specimens and samples of products or developed materials for 3D printing to perform the variety of testing.
  • Develop and conducts chemical and/or physical laboratory testing.
  • Verification of 3D printers, its operation software, and its accessories with our product.
  • Closely work with the quality inspector to inspect the in-coming materials/packages and final products.
  • Involve with the development of 3D printable resin for dental use.
  • Precisely records and preserves all records of test results according to the company procedures.
  • Timely maintains and calibrates the test equipment and standard materials.
  • Cleans and organizes inspection room and testing machines.
  • Supports the subscale mixing/blending of reactive chemicals.
  • Perform general housekeeping, as needed including ordering of materials and reagents.
  • Provide weekly reports to supervisor in a clear and concise manner.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 2+ years related work experience with BS in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related scientific field; M.A./M.S. Degree in polymer chemistry preferred.
  • 2+ years work experience on 3D printing material formulation or coating formulation preferred.
  • Familiar with chemical lab, 3D printing work and 3D printer preferred.
  • Knowledge of test and analysis method/equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic safety procedures and compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be flexible, forward-thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act independently.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

  1. Production Technician – Entry Level

Job description:

The person will assist production team leader and researchers to preparing the chemical mixtures, final dentures, sample dentures, and test samples.

In addition, the assistant will do a label printing, packaging and labeling on the final products, and shipping along with the inventory control.

The ideal candidate has hand-on skills on chemical or pigment mixing on various scale, good housekeeping of consumable items, recordkeeping of shipping,

a basic knowledge on various chemicals and the personal protective equipment. We will provide the job-related basic training.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Packaging and labeling on the final products
  • Arrange the shipment according to the orders.
  • Produces the various labels for final products
  • Produces large batches of medical devices.
  • Generate the lab scale batches according to the work order.
  • Generate the pigments according to the work order.
  • Cleaning and organizing the lab and production machines.
  • Handle various chemicals.
  • Print out the specimen for the test specimens and sample dentures using 3D printers as needed.
  • Conduct chemical and/or physical laboratory testing as needed.
  • Clearly and orderly record all observations and data.
  • Perform general housekeeping, as needed including ordering of consumable items.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of chemical and/or polymer background
  • 0+ years related work experience with Associate degree or BA degree in chemical or related filed.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds
